GST registration (GST REG -01) :

Registration process for Normal Taxpayer, Composition, Casual Taxable Person, Input Service Distributor, SEZ Unit is same. The registration process under GST is very simple& documentation part is normal as mentioned below.

  • First it should access in the site as www.gst.gov.in

  • Click in Services - Registration - New Registration.

  • There after New Registration point will be displayed. click the New Registration option.

  • In the box , select the Taxpayer which should be registered.

  • Then State/UT and District drop down box, select the state& district.

  • Legal Name of the Business (As mentioned in PAN) field, enter the legal name of the business/ entity. In case of proprietorship only PAN should be entered of the Proprietor.

  • In case of Company, registration certificate must be necessary.

  • Email Address& valid mobile number field must be filled in order to et separate OTP

  • Enter the Captcha code enter in the box.

  • Finally click the PROCEED button.

  • i) Business Details - After proceed button, details about business is required for registration.
    • Enter the trade name of the business.

    • Select the type of constitution of the business.

    • Then District/ Circle / Ward / Charge/ Unit drop-down list, select the district , sector/circle/ward/charge/unit number of the business.

    • In the Commisionerate, Division and Range Code drop-down list, select the appropriate.

    • In case unknown about the Center Jurisdiction, click the link to know about your Center Jurisdiction.

    • In the Option for Composition scheme, select yes in case business adopt Composition Levy or else select No.

    • Select commencement date of business & also date on which liability to register arises using the calendar.

    • If applying for registration as a casual taxable person (means who occasionally undertakes transactions involving supply of goods or services in without any fixed place of business).

    • Select the reason of liability to obtain registration for your business.

    • In the existing registrations section, select the existing regd. type, regd no. and Date of Registration. Click the add button(as Central Sales Tax regd Number, Central Excise regd. number, Service Tax regd. Number can be added).

    • Then click the save & continue button. A blue tick on the business details section indicating the completion.

  • ii) Promoter/ Partners - Detailed about Promoter /partner’s name, DOB, address, mobile no, email, gender must be mentioned. But in case of company DIN must be mandatory.

  • iii) Authorised Signatory - In authorized signatory tab enter personal Information section. Incase of Company, Director Identification Number (DIN) field, is necessary,which issued by Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

  • iv) Authorise Representative - Authorised representative section can be fill if clicked yes, otherwise no.

  • v)Principal place of Business - There after principal place of business section can be fill with valid uploaded documents i.e. property Tax Receipt, municipal khata copy, Electricity Bill, rent agreement etc.

  • vi)Additional place of Business - If additional place of business utilised by business house, then add the section and also filled.

  • vii) Goods & service -Goods and Services tab displays the details of the goods and services supplied by the business. Goods / services provided by the business house must added the HSN Code here, also maximum 5 goods and 5 services can be added. In case, you have more than 5 goods or services, you must add the top 5 goods or services you are dealing with.

  • viii) Bank Accounts - Then all the Bank account number of the business with details can be added and also uploaded Bank pass book cover page.

  • ix) State specific Information - Lastly state specific information i.e professional tax employee code no., professional tax RC no., state excise Regd.no may be filled if available.

  • X) Verification - Finally Submit the status with DSC if available or submit with e-signature or submit with EVC.

View After submission, Application Reference Number (ARN) Copy

After submission, Application Reference Number (ARN)receipt can be get on e-mail and also mobile number which can be tracked in future, in case of getting any problem for GSTIN no.
